Lifeline Guide: Gimme The Loot

Lifeline is a support focused Legend and is the only legend currently in game with a healing ability. Her kit revolves around supporting her team, providing them with gear, consumables and attachments. Even though she doesn't have any combat focused abilities she is considered one of the best legends.

Lifeline Abilities &
When To Use Them
tactical Ability: D.O.C. Heal Drone
Call your Drone of Compassion to automatically heal nearby teammates over time.

Lifeline deploys a D.O.C. Healing Drone which heals everyone nearby including the enemies, so be careful where and when you deploy it. The best time to deploy the drone is after a fight. It can heal while you’re reloading, looting an enemy, or recharging your shields. When deployed, the drone will last for 20 seconds which is enough time to get you and your teammates back to full health. With a 59 second recharge time, the D.O.C. Heal Drone should be used after a fight to get you back into the action quickly. If the D.O.C. Heal Drone needs to be used in the middle of a firefight, it’s best used during mid to long range engagements as it will replenish health while your team trades blows with the enemy.

passive Ability: Combat Medic
Revive knocked down teammates faster while protected by a shield wall. Healing items are used 25% faster.

Since she is a combat medic, Lifeline revives teammates faster than any other Legend in the game. When reviving a fallen teammate Lifeline's D.O.C Drone projects a shield, protecting her while she patches them up. The shield will be projected in the direction Lifeline is facing, so make sure to face away from cover in order do get a wider arc of protection while reviving your teammate. Lifeline’s 25% increased item healing speed also stacks up with the legendary backpack bonus, making her healing consumables take even less time to finish.

ultimate Ability: Care Package
Call in a drop pod full of high-quality defensive gear.

Lifeline's calls in a drop pod similar to the supply drop that litter the map from time to time. Dropping from the sky, this pod can only be called down outside. It contains three random items which range from from gear, to attachments, as well as consumables. The quality of the items range common to legendary. Be careful where you stand when calling the drop pod down, as it will instantly kill anyone who it happens to fall upon.

Throughout the match, use as many Ultimate Accelerant consumables as possible to decrease the charge time on Lifeline’s ultimate as it’s the slowest charging ability in game. Keep in mind that the enemies nearby can see and hear Lifeline’s Care Package landing, so use with caution.

Lifeline Weapon Combinations

Weapon combinations comes down to personal preference and should be heavily based upon your play style, as well as your team composition. My recommendation takes into consideration Lifeline’s tactical and passive ability which revolve around being close to her teammates. You never want to be far from them in a fight, so I recommend a Shotgun paired with an SMG or Assault Rifle for Mid Range.

Peacekeeper (or EVA-8 Auto)/R-99 (or Prowler)
Up close and personal
Peacekeeper (or EVA-8 Auto)/R-301 Carbine (or Hemlok)
For the aggressive close to mid range
Lifeline Legend Synergy

Lacking mobility as a support focused legend, Lifeline pairs well with Wraith. Wraith’s ultimate ability, Dimensional Rift, makes up for Lifeline’s weakness in mobility by allowing her to reposition quickly and easily. Additionally, Wraith’s passive ability makes it more difficult for Lifeline to be caught off guard.

If you like being the aggressor try playing Lifeline with Bloodhound. Bloodhound’s intel gathering abilities gives Lifeline the information needed to get into optimal positioning during firefights.

We can't forget about Gibraltar, whose tactical ability deploys a long lasting, dome shield which allows Lifeline to use her D.O.C. Healing Drone in safety. This is especially helpful when caught off guard without any nearby cover.
